Do You Care More About Other People's
Opinions Than You Care About God?

Examples from the Bible of those who did, and perished.

It is written:
John 12:42, 43-Nevertheless among the chief rulers also many believed on him; but because of the Pharisees they did not confess him, lest they should be put out of the synagogue: For they loved the praise of men more than the praise of God. (Because of fear of men, they perished to hell.)

1 Samuel 15:24-And Saul said unto Samuel, I have sinned: for I have transgressed the commandment of the Lord, and thy words: because I feared the people, and obeyed their voice. (Saul perished to hell.)

Galatians 1:10-For do I now persuade men, or God? or do I seek to please men? for if I yet pleased men, I should not be the servant of Christ.

John 9:22, 23-These words spake his parents, because they feared the Jews: for the Jews had agreed already, that if any man did confess that he was Christ, he should be put out of the synagogue. Therefore said his parents, He is of age; ask him. (Parents afraid, denied Jesus—perished.)

Isaiah 29:13-Wherefore the Lord said, Forasmuch as this people draw near me with their mouth, and with their lips do honour me, but have removed their heart far from me, and their fear toward me is taught by the precept of men. (False Christians say they love Jesus, but won't obey. Their heart is perhaps in covetousness and fearing people, not in fearing God.)

Ezekiel 33:31, 32-And they come unto thee as the people cometh, and they sit before thee as my people, and they hear thy words, but they will not do them: for with their mouth they shew much love, but their heart goeth after their covetousness. And, lo, thou art unto them as a very lovely song of one that hath a pleasant voice, and can play well on an instrument: for they hear thy words, but they do them not.

Luke 6:46-And why call ye me, Lord, Lord, and do not the things which I say?

1 Thes 2:4-But as we were allowed of God to be put in trust with the Gospel, even so we speak; not as pleasing men, but God, which trieth our hearts.

Isaiah 56:1, 4-Thus saith the Lord, Keep ye judgment, and do justice: for my salvation is near to come, and my righteousness to be revealed...choose the things that please me, and take hold of my covenant.
